Fund Request Policy
This policy outlines the process for students to request financial assistance from the Kirkwood Band Boosters (KB2) for band-related expenses. It ensures a transparent and fair process while adhering to the organization's non-profit status.
A student (or students) may request funding from Kirkwood Band Boosters by sending an email to kirkwoodbandboosters@gmail.com. The request must include:
Student's full name, description of the specific need and amount requested, any supporting documentation, such as invoices, estimates, or receipts, and timeline for the funding need.
The student(s) must first discuss the financial request with the band director and receive approval before contacting KB2.
KB2 executive officers will then meet to discuss the funding request and decide if the request is approved or denied.
KB2 Presidents will then communicate the decision to the student(s) and director.
If the request is approved after the annual KB2 budget has been approved, the funding request and approval will subsequently be discussed at the next quarterly KB2 meeting.
