COLLEGE INFORMATION NIGHT
On behalf of the College & Career Counselors at Kirkwood High School, we would like to invite you to our Virtual KHS College Information Night! The virtual format allows KHS students and families to view all the presentations at their convenience. We have added the presentations below to our KHS College Counseling YouTube channel under the “KHS College Information Night 2022” playlist. - Thinking About Mizzou: Become familiar with admission requirements, AP & Dual Credit, the Honors College, and Scholarships for the University of Missouri Columbia by Tori Schlotzhauer, Regional Admission Rep, University of Missouri - Columbia

- Financial Aid Basics: This session will provide an overview of how financial aid works. It will focus on merit aid, need-based aid, and the FAFSA by Teresa Steinkamp, Advising Director, Scholarship Foundation of St. Louis
- The College Essay: The college essay is a special opportunity to make your application stand out by telling a story that numbers cannot capture. In this session, how to start your essay and strategies for writing an essay with style and substance will be covered by Teresa Bont from the University of Tulsa.
- ACT Prep Seminar: An ACT prep seminar by Matt DARR, DARR Tutoring
- Selective College Admissions: An overview of highly selective admissions by Elena Wandzilak, Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions, Washington University in St. Louis
- Ranken Technical College: An overview of Ranken Technical College and information about program options at Ranken Technical College by Natalie Steinacher
- The College Application Process: KHS College Counselor, Abby Peterson, provides an overview of the College Application Process.
- KHS Early College Program: KHS College Counselor, Josh Jaworowski, provides an overview of the KHS Early College Program with STLCC.
