Events 

  • St. Louis County Apprentice and Career Pathways Showcase: Come learn more about these exciting and fulfilling job opportunities, many of which require training instead of a traditional, 4-year degree.  Spanning regional employers seeking new talent, our exhibitors will include representatives from key career pathways including: Advanced Manufacturing, Construction, Culinary & Hospitality, Healthcare, Information Technology, Public Safety, &Transportation & Logistics.  This same event is on February 28 March 7th.  It open to families and students in grades 6 through 12, including recent high school graduates.
  • Mercy Hospital South Healthcare Career Fair: The event is designed to connect aspiring healthcare professionals with opportunities in the industry.  Attendees will have the chance to meet with representatives from various departments, learn about job openings, and gain insights into the skills & certifications needed for different roles.  Fall session is on November 13th and 14th and the Spring session is on April 16th and 17th.

University & College Programs

  • PAWS - University of Missouri Columbia: PAWS (Preparing Adults for Work & Society) is an Inclusive Post Secondary option for students with intellectual disabilities.
  • SUCCEED - University of Missouri St. Louis: The UMSL Succeed Program is designed to encourage and facilitate students to gain independence through academics, vocational experiences, and college residential/student life.
  • ACHIEVE -Southern Illinois University Carbondale: The ACHIEVE program engages neurodiverse learners with learning disabilities, attention disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and other related academic difficulties.
  • KAP Circle of Support - Western Kentucky University: The Kelly Autism Program at WKU has created the Circle of Support, a program that offers six areas of assistance specifically designed to address the challenges faced by students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and to increase their success on campus.  The major areas of assistance provided by KAP Circle of Support include: private residence hall rooms, study tables, mentoring, socials, mental health counseling and weekly advisor meetings.
  • SALT - University of Arizona: The SALT Center is a fee-based academic support program that inspires students with mild to moderate learning and attention challenges to succeed in higher education. 

Training Programs

  • Electrical Pre-Apprenticeship: Become jobsite ready with a 6 week Pre-Apprenticehips program.  Prepares individuals for entry level careers in the Electrical Industry and the start of electrical apprenticeship
  • Saint Louis County Workforce Development Training Programs: The St. Louis County Workforce has funding available to pay for High School Seniors to receive paid training in the following fields: Healthcare, Information Technology, Skilled Trades, Logistics/CDL, Bio Science, and Culinary.  Contact Harold Pierce or Derek Collins at 314-615-6055 for more information.
  • Boeing Pre-Employment Training Program: Designed for second semester high school seniors, this Boeing funded program provides employer-specific instruction in aircraft assembly techniques for Assembly Mechanic positions at Boeing.  Contact Ambrosia Harrison at 314-513-4604 or aharrison58@stlcc.edu for more information.
  • STLCC Accelerated Job Training: The Workforce Solutions Group develops industry-specific training in partnership with the college’s campuses and local employers to train or retrain for in-demand occupations in shorter duration formats.
  • St. Louis Construction Cooperative: Research skilled trade opportunities, work descriptions, apprentice and journey level wages, application requirements, how to apply and more!

Military

  • Today' Military: Research military careers and opportunities, different service branches, full-time and part-time opportunities, types of military services, benefits, education/training, ways to serve, and information for parents!
